CLICK THIS LINK TO WATCH VIDEO READING ASSIGNMENTS: RUTH 1:16-18 1 SAMUEL 25:1-40 JOHN 6:1-14 DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1) While talking about Ruth’s story (as well as her own), Laurie says “Sometimes the path to your future comes from saying yes to the need on your path.” Have you ever experienced this in your life? Is there a need or an opportunity in front of you right now that God may want you to consider? 2) On a scale of 1-10, how good are you at taking risks? Do you find them adventurous or terrifying? How does Abigail’s courage to approach David speak to you? How does what happened in her life because of that risk inspire you? 3) What does the story of the boy's lunch in John 6 tell you about what God needs from us? Have you ever felt like you didn’t have enough for God to use? How does this story speak to that? CONCLUSION All God needs is what you have, not what you don't have, because your little will lead to God's big.

Why do you think God continues to lead us to hard places in our life? What did Hagar discover about God? 2. Have you ever thought about Job’s wife in chapter 2 of Job’s story? Did this video segment show you a different perspective on her? What do you think God feels about us when we cry out in anger or sorrow? Do you think God gave up on Job’s wife? Why or why not? 3.   First Click here to watch video Reading Assignment: Matthew 8:23-27 (The storm) Mark 2:1-12 (The paralytic and his friends) Luke 8:40-56 (The girl and the woman healed) DISCUSSION QUESTIONS (1) Have you ever felt that God was sleeping in a crisis? What does Jesus show us about God in the way he behaves with the disciples during the storm (Matthew 8)? (2) In the story of the four people who brought their paralyzed friend to Jesus (Mark 2), we learn some interesting things about healing through Jesus’s response. What stood out to you? (3) Jesus’ encounter with Jairus and the bleeding woman (Luke 8) shows us how God is doing many things at once. What do you observe? Who do you relate to most in this story: Jairus or the bleeding woman? Why? CONCLUSION Jesus is the calm in your crisis and he is in control. He acts unpredictably and gives you what you need.
