June 30, 2022 Finding Identity

Dear Friends, My sister left last night.  We had a great time together for the past twelve days.  One of our highlights was visiting Kauai for three days!  During our Kauai trip, we did have one snafu at the rental car company.  I did not have a physical credit card on me and they would not accept Peter's credit card for the security deposit because the contract has my name on it and I am legally responsible for the car during the rental, so only a card with my name is acceptable!  It took us two hours to sort things out, but thankfully none of us lose our cool.  The slight delay did not dampen our holiday!   Identity is an extremely important thing in our society.  You are responsible for everything that has your name attached to it.  We must know and protect our true identity! However, the whole world is under the evil one and lies about the one true God (2 Corinthians 4:4). 19  since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.   20  For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has be...

Take a moment to thank him for his wisdom displayed in your life. Isaiah 55:8-9 (CSB) 8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways.” This is the   Lord ’s declaration. 9 “For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Today's 4-min RightNowMedia video explores how the world is full of opinions, perspectives on how to live, and various definitions of truth. Francis Chan Finding Truth Devo-1 1. After listening to Francis, how did this session expand your understanding of why God’s truth is so important? 2 . Francis explained in the video that God is our anchor when we’ve been lied to by the world over and over again. When we become frustrated—not knowing whom to believe—we can run to our Bible and find peace in what it says. What are some of yo...
