DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
- In Genesis 35, Jacob goes back to the place where God met him. Where would that be for you? Bethel means "House of God". How have you experienced God’s presence in the church?
- In Exodus 16, the Israelites skipped over the memory of God parting the Red Sea and remembered something that may not even be true back in Egypt. Does the stress of your current circumstances ever affect your memory of God's faithfulness? How does the story of the Israelites speak to you?
- The Road to Emmaus in Luke 24 shows that sometimes we have more clarity when we look back on something because time gives us new insight. Has that ever happened to you? Have you ever been able to see something God did that you couldn’t see while it was happening?
CONCLUSION
When we remember what God has done, we have the confidence to face what's ahead.
