Video: Grow Your Faith by Josh Walters

Introduction: Growing your faith comes from growing your relationship with God.  Good soil is not enough, for a crop to flourish, it requires care and help in every season.

There are four crucial things to grow well:

1. Other ______________ (Hebrews 10:25)

2. Study _________ Word (2 Timothy 3:16)

What are you studying right now?  Do you have any difficulties to overcome in studying the Bible and how we can pray for you?

3. Prayer (Jeremiah 33:3)

Which prayer speaks to you in this season?

Jeremiah's Prayer:

I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.  So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle.  Do not correct me in anger, for I would die. Jeremiah 10:23-24

Jabez's Prayer:

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!" And God granted him his request.  1 Chronicles 4:10

Paul's Prayer:

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him.  Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:10

4. _______________ times of worship (Revelations 7:9-10)

Which aspect of corporate worship is the most compelling to you?

a) We are made to worship God collectively. As a Church Family, God is our adoptive Father and we are spiritual siblings.  Parents are fully satisfied only when everyone is present together.

b) The Church comprises many parts, and the different parts must come together and unite to edify one another, work together, serve others and reflect Christ. Many gifts are best used when we meet in person.  Gifts such as teaching, praying for others, hospitality, befriending the elderly and youth, singing in the choir, and etc.

c) It is a sign of giving our top priority to God. Waking up every Sunday and getting ready to go to Church to worship with our community is a commitment. It cultivates our tendency to put God first amid our busyness.

 d) Personal touch and face-to-face is is the key to authenticity and building relationships and trust.

March 17, 2022 Our Father...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Are you wearing green today to avoid being pinched by leprechauns and other fairy creatures?  Or do you cling onto Psalm 84:11 today and everyday? Last week, our homework was to pick a Scripture verse to memorize.  Would you like to share your verse with the group?   Today, our study is on the first phrase of The Lord's Prayer. " Our Father in heaven , hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." Matthew 6:9=13 For centuries, believers have memorized and used the Lord's prayer as a tool for going to God in prayer. It was given by Jesus in response to his disciple's request for a lesson in prayer. It continues to be a lesson for us as well. Here is today's video lesson  Our Father Questions for Reflection 1. Have you memorized ...
