Dear Sisters,
We pray for others because we want to bless them. A simple way to pray for people you care about is to use the B-L-E-S-S acronym.
B - Body: Pray for good health, protection, and strength.
L - Labor: Pray for their work, their ministry, and their financial security.
E - Emotional: Pray for emotional health and good quality of life; for joy, peace, and hope.
S - Social: Pray for loving relationships with their family and friends.
S - Spiritual: Pray for their salvation, that they will come to know Jesus and walk with God.
What does the Scriptures tell us about B.L.E.S.S.
1. Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. (3 John 1:2)
2. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:17)
3. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
4. A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. (Proverbs 17:17)
5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
How can we pray for you and your loved ones today?
