Feb 24, 2022 - A Battle Plan For Prayer

Aloha Ladies,

Thank you for believing in the power of prayer!  Phrases like "prayer is the work" and "prayer does not change God, but it changes him who prays" are so true.  The 2015 movie War Room is a powerful portrayal of how prayer connects us to God's purpose and plan.

Would you watch this 06:30 YouTube video A Battle Plan For Prayer before our next small group gathering?  As you watch, please think about these questions.  You can put your answers in the comment box below or bring them to the small group meeting on Thursday at 5:30 pm.

1. Priscilla experienced the Lord multiplying her time when she puts first things first.  Does her analogy from from Exodus 16:22-23 make sense to you?

2. What is the difference between random prayer and strategic prayer?

3. Why is it important to have a physical war room?

4. What is the war room symbolic of?

5. Crawl - Walk - Run.  Where are you in your battle plan?  The beginning step (Crawl) is to make prayer a priority in your life.  The intermediate step (Walk) is to have a prayer strategy.  The more advanced step (Run) is to integrate prayer in your mind, schedule and decision-making to honor your relationship with God above all else.

"True prayer is a way of life, not just for use in cases of emergency. Make it a habit, and when the need arises you will be in practice." - Billy Graham

March 17, 2022 Our Father...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Are you wearing green today to avoid being pinched by leprechauns and other fairy creatures?  Or do you cling onto Psalm 84:11 today and everyday? Last week, our homework was to pick a Scripture verse to memorize.  Would you like to share your verse with the group?   Today, our study is on the first phrase of The Lord's Prayer. " Our Father in heaven , hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." Matthew 6:9=13 For centuries, believers have memorized and used the Lord's prayer as a tool for going to God in prayer. It was given by Jesus in response to his disciple's request for a lesson in prayer. It continues to be a lesson for us as well. Here is today's video lesson  Our Father Questions for Reflection 1. Have you memorized ...
